Who We Are

Thadora Farms is family-owned, minority-owned, and woman-owned herb farm and cafe.  Our vision is to show a pathway of hope and healing through herbs with an interactive, agritourism herb farm where folks can learn about herbs and plant medicine.   Our offerings include, but not limited to, herbs, plant medicine, community vegetable gardens, hands-on activities, u-pick season, family recreational areas, botanical products, educational and developmental programs, and  summer enrichment programs.

Our Story

We are the descendants of Thad and Ora Lee Smith.  Thadora Farms currently utilizes 5.5 acres of farmland in Campobello, South Carolina that was purchased in the late 1940s by Thad Lewis Smith, Sr.   During those times in the south, Smith had to inspect the prospective land at night prior to purchasing.  The entire transaction was kept silent for fear of losing the land.  The farm is named after him and his wife, Ora, where they raised their four children and spoiled their grandchildren.  Each family member revers special memories of their time on the land.  Thad was a deacon, worked in manufacturing and farmed.  Ora was a nurse and a minister, who focused on ministering to women who were broken.  Thadora Farms is a culmination  of these two mighty forces, honoring and continuing their legacy to the community..
